Rapunzel

I had a terrible day yesterday. No. HORRIBLE! As you know, I have very long hair, below my knees. I had left it braided for too long without taking it out and brushing it properly. When I tried to wash it yesterday it got all matted into a big ball. I tried all day to get it out. Art tried for 4 1/2 hours, finally giving up about 2:30 this morning. I knew it was hopeless, but went into a hairdresser today. They tried for a while, too, but the final prognosis was that it had to be cut.
I didn't sleep a wink last night, worrying about it. I've cried an ocean of tears. But what could I do? I couldn't let them take it all, though. They left one long section behind my right ear and braided it, but the rest is now short. I kinda look like Tom Jackson (only cuter, I hope). It feels SO WEIRD!!! When the wind blows, my hair moves. The one long piece helps me feel not so sick to my stomach.
I think I'll go cry some more now (don't be fooled by the smile).

Now I didn't expect to see this on your blog!

I know you have talked about cutting your hair in the past, but decided against it...I guess sometimes the higher powers think it is time for a change of some kind like it or not.

Not that I can compare, but when I was shaving off my moustache I though "what the hell am I doing?" but now I see pictures and say "what the hell was I doing?" It took me a while to get used to my new appearance, but now I prefer the look.

Anyway, I guess I am trying to say, give it some time and I think that you will come to like your new style. Just think of the time you will save!

Hugs,
Kevin

Oh Jo! Just think of the funky new look you have. That's one part the body can regrow, so start over again if you want to. Look how quickly your bangs grew out.
Love ya, Sis.

Wow Jo I never thought I would see the day that you had short hair. You look good and I love the braid!

Hope to see you soon!

there's nothing like a new hair style to spruce up a woman's outlook on life I say. I love short now.

Joey! What a shock, fer sure. But I mean it when I say I like your short hair. (Perhaps jealousy 'cos i haven't had long hair for many years? Who knows.) But I do like it & hope you come to terms.
